Donya Rooein is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Bocconi University. Her research interests include natural language processing, conversational agents, and applied machine learning. Donya completed her Ph.D. in Information Technology Engineering from Politecnico di Milano in October 2022. Her thesis was “A Scalable, Reconfigurable, and Adaptive Framework for Chatbots in Education”. During her Ph.D., she focused on adaptive conversational agents; in particular, she designed and developed highly configurable chatbots in education to support various actors with different demographics.
